Abstract

Cyanodictyon turfosum Lederer is described as a new species of Cyanoprokaryota (Cyanobacteria) from peat-bogs in the Šumava Mts. (Czech Republic). A comparison with all known members of the genus Cyanodictyon Pascher showed that the new species differs both in morphological features and ecological requirements.
