Abstract

A preliminary list of threatened mosses ("Red List") is presented for the Czech Republic. The list includes taxa classified into five categories (based on the definitions of the IUCN Red Data Categories): extinct, endangered, vulnerable, rare and insufficiently known. Additional problems linked with the classification of threatened mosses in the Czech Republic are discussed.
