Abstract

The occurrence of Thesium procumbens C. A. Meyer (T. brachyphyllum Boiss.) in the Stara planina Mountains from 1874 was documented in the herbarium (G-BOIS), but since then the species has been never found again. However, this fact should not be regarded as throwing doubts upon the credibility of the find because later on, the species was found at several localities in the neighbouring Greece.
